This volume is dedicated to the proceedings of the 11th annual conference of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Sofia University on policies of economic and social development in Europe. Jürgen Plöhn holds a position as «Privatdozent» at the Institute for Political Science and Japanese Studies at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg.
Horst Schellhaass is Professor at the Faculty of Management, Economics and Social Sciences and Vice Rector of the University of Cologne.
