It is a well-known fact that anomalies of the craniofacial complex are of major significance not only to dental health but also to mental health and social well-being of the patients. The treatment of children with syndromes is a challenge in the field of pediatric dentistry. The handicaps and problems of affected children are manifold, more so than in any other typical disease. Treatment requires multidisciplinary team approach consisting of a craniofacial surgeon, neurosurgeon, neurologist, ENT, audiologist, speech pathologist, oral surgeon, psychologist and an orthodontist. A proper referral from the physician/pediatrician is required. This work has been written with the hope that it will help to improve the recognition which will lead to prompt diagnosis along with understanding and management of the commonly occurring syndromes in children and the care of affected individuals and their families. "We wouldn't change him for the world but we would like to change the world for him."
