Employment Law has been taught in one guise or another for many years and remains a popular subject with students. It has also given rise to more specialist offshoots, such as courses which examine the laws designed to assist women in paid employment - in particular, the anti-discrimination laws. Whilst equal pay, maternity rights and sex discrimination, including sexual harasment, have received attention from feminist scholars, there is an increasing awareness that it is the whole of the working environment that must be examined if real progress is to be made. This volume aims to present an accessible discussion of some traditional and some not-so-obvious aspects of employment relationship. It is meant for the student of Employment Law and for the student interested more generally in feminist perspectives on law.
