This is the Student Workbook for the course "Genesis in the 21st Century: A Discussion Course about Genesis Using Biblical, Archeological, and Climatological Evidence for its Historical Setting." The teacher's copy of that course book is available separately. This book is of limited value without the lectures contained in the teachers copy. This course is based on conservative Christian religious principles. It assumes that the book of Genesis is historically correct if the book is interpreted properly. The course uses evidence from climate change studies, ancient Near Eastern texts, archeology, and the Bible to offer new insights into the meaning of the Genesis text. The course draws on the best evidence currently available for the growth human culture since the height of the last ice age and the development of Near Eastern religious motifs. The course assumes that Genesis was a theological argument written by Moses for Israel's wilderness generation, and it assumes that Moses taught theology through narrative.
