The Mystery Revealed: A Study of Ephesians is a six week study intended for small groups or individual study. The primary purpose of Paul's letter was to encourage the "faithful followers of Christ Jesus" in Ephesus to live together as one Body. Both Jew and Gentile believers were to unite in Christ's Church. This study covers one chapter each week and contains five lessons for each week with questions and commentary. Study chapter topics are Salvation, Grace, Confidence, Unity, Life, and Strength. There is also an optional introductory session. The study will emphasize four of Paul's themes that are woven throughout the letter. (1) The Mystery Revealed. God's mysterious plan was kept hidden until God revealed it to the apostles at His chosen time. (2) Grace. One of the most well-known teachings on grace in the Bible is found in Ephesians. "For it is by grace you have been saved," (2:8). (3) In Christ. This phrase appears 13 times in Ephesians (NASB). (4) Heavenly Places. The exact phrase, 'heavenly places, ' appears five times in Ephesians and nowhere else in the Bible.
