It is hot in the south especially in the summer and sometimes you can even feel the air. Cache is no different; the heat I think makes people crazy. Cache is an old town scarred by war and hundreds of years of plantation owners; never relenting from the evil greed they hold so dear. So dark and twisted are the stories and legends behind it that most talk about such things is nothing more than whispers. So many cultures and beliefs mixed together to form a gumbo of sorts that creates a colorful mixture that's for sure. Good and evil also have their place in this mixture and sometimes they shine through depending on which day of the week. Nevertheless, the story follows a teenage boy named Jess during the summer months in 1980s small town south. It's a quiet and clean town, but it is closely shadowed by the evil Mayor Woodcock and the redneck gangster Hiram Parker. Greed and power take over and the strong must prey on the weak to survive. The two menacing town figures battle it out and poor Jess is mixed up in the middle. Jess is torn and must figure out what is important in time to save the ones he loves from the darkness of the rich and powerful Woodcocks.
