Surviving Stolen Innocence is my book and personal testimony of how I survived childhood rape. God blessed me with a warrior spirit that would not permit me to remain a victim. When a joyous event occurred in my brother's life, I was forced to face, finally, the residue of that long-buried violation. Healing is not an overnight process; it requires much work and soul searching. In bowing to the process of healing, I was able to admit I had a problem, accept that I had been sexually violated, acknowledge my self-worth, acquire a new outlook on life, and establish a new dating life with God. Additionally, I came to learn that in order for me to truly live a healthier life; I had to embrace endless hours of praying, fasting, and putting forth genuine effort. Surviving stolen innocence is an ongoing process of breaking free from the bondage of embarrassment, hurt, anger, disappointment, revenge, unforgiveness, low self-esteem, unworthiness, and any other negative emotion as a result of one's pureness of body, mind, and life being tainted by another person's immoral or unethical acts. These acts or behavior could be, but not limited to, rape, domestic or emotional abuse, bullying, false imprisonment, or murder of a loved one, etc. In essence, in spite of being a victim of a random, impure act, choose to be a victor. You are well worth the survival
