The glory of the Lord is basically the essence of who He is. He beautifies us with Himself. He literally puts Himself upon us, His essence, His likeness, His life. There is a passage in Psalms that says the garment that God wears is basically His glory but it is called light (Psalm 104:2). He covers Himself with a garment of light, which is His glory. That is why in the beginning, before they sinned, Adam and Eve had garments. They had garments of God's glory. When they sinned they lost the glory and were naked. They had been wearing their own destiny. When you are clothed about with glory, you enter God's ability. The anointing is God's enablement for us to do a job. The glory is God's enablement to do only what God can do. We enter God's ability. The turning of the water into wine was the "beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory (John 2:11)." When you are glorified, the changing of one substance to another happens. The raising of the dead that Jesus did was not done by the anointing. It was done by the glory (John 11:40). He said to Mary and Martha, "If you can believe you shall see the glory of God." He said that the raising of Lazarus would be done by His glory. You have no needs when you are glorified, because the glorification produces what you need.
