Traditionally, the public health viewpoint on disability was geared toward primary prevention of disabling conditions or events. Deborah Allen is an Associate Professor of Maternal and Child Health at the Boston University School of Public Health. Prior to this, she directed the Maternal and Child Health program in the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
