Superfly tells the story of a group of flies and other insects who live in a dusty old house in Guildford, England, ruled over by the arrogant, egotistical blowfly Superfly. Fashion obsessed, Superfly spends his days issuing orders, keeping the lower classes in their place, and showing off to the blowsy bluebottles. When the house is sold and renovated, the insects have to find more ingenious ways to live alongside the new family. Common housefly Flora spends most of her time rescuing her silly brother. When after his birthday party he becomes stuck to an open pot of jam, Flora fears the worst. But at the last moment a stranger comes to their rescue in the form of Digger from down under. Used to lifting weights on Bondi beach, the Australian blowfly has no problem rescuing the silly boy and proving a hero in Flora's eyes. Smuggling himself into the country for the annual Flyathlon, Digger is soon coaching the Fearless Fly team in their quest to win the 2016 Olympics. Falling in love with Flora gives the Australian blowfly the confidence to go on and win the competition, as well as teaching the insects about forgiveness and compassion. Boris bee and the Jasper twins try to throw their weight around until the Australian fly gets to the root of their problems and shows them kindness is far better that bullying.
