After returning to the United States he again set out on a hike to Asia and ended up in a Korean orphanage. Once again he returned to the United Sates and hiked his way from Seattle to New York. Several years later he took a motorcycle trip on Route One from L. A. to the Canadian border. Many of the stories included in this book are from these adventures.
