Fra Francesc Moner (1462/3-1491/2) is a Catalan author, who flourished in Barcelona during the second decade subsequent to the marriage of Ferdinand of Aragon and Isabella of Castile in 1469. Moner s extant production amounts to seventy-four pieces, a collection of poems and prose works of various genres, written in Catalan and in Castilian. The Author: Peter Cocozzella received his B.A. from Regis College and his Ph.D. from Saint Louis University. He specializes in Castilian and Catalan literatures of the late Middle Ages. Most of his career has been devoted to teaching Spanish language and literature in the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures at the State University of New York at Binghamton. Cocozzella's numerous publications include critical editions, book reviews, translations, and a variety of essays.
