Michael Davis is a Partner and Head of International Arbitration Practice and Head of Construction and Engineering Practice at Herbert Smith. He has long experience of conducting litigation in the Technology and Construction Court and other Courts in England, as well as mediations, adjudications, expert determination, and other alternative forms of dispute resolution. Robert Akenhead Q.C. is Head of Chambers at Atkin Chambers. He has specialised in all aspects of construction law since 1973, and has appeared as advocate in numerous cases before the Technology and Construction Court (formerly the Official Referees' Court). He has been involved in many building and engineering arbitrations in the UK and world-wide, acting as arbitrator, adjudicator, and mediator. A Q.C. since 1989, he has co-edited the Building Law Reports since 1999, and is a regular contributor to Building Magazine.
