"This book, being a textbook, puts in a comfortable form as bright as possible description of inorganic chemistry issues from basic to advanced. The reviewed manual focuses more on the principles of inorganic chemistry than on descriptive inorganic chemistry, which definitely distinguishes it from the academic of inorganic chemistry textbooks." --Przemysl Chemiczny

J.E. House is Scholar in Residence, Illinois Wesleyan University, and Emeritus Professor of Chemistry, Illinois State University. He achieved concentrations in both inorganic and physical chemistry meeting the coursework requirements for a graduate major in both areas. He has successfully taught the senior level inorganic chemistry course at Illinois State University (perhaps 30 times), University of Illinois, Western Kentucky University, and Illinois Wesleyan University. He has authored books in inorganic chemistry, chemical kinetics, quantum mechanics, and descriptive inorganic chemistry. His research has provided the basis for approximately 150 publications in journals on the topics of solid state chemistry, kinetics, and chemical education. He is also the Series Editor for the series Developments in Physical & Theoretical Chemistry (Elsevier), and Series Editor for the "Chemistry by Invitation" section of The Chemical Educator.
