Prof. Dr. Carsten Schäfer, Universität Mannheim, ist seit 2003 Inhaber des Lehrstuhls für Bürgerliches Recht, Handels- und Gesellschaftsrecht sowie Direktor des Instituts für Unternehmensrecht (IURUM) und Vorsitzender des Zentrums für Unternehmensnachfolge (zentUma). Seine Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen im Gesellschaftsrecht und Bürgerlichen Recht (Darlehensrecht, Verbraucherrecht).
