The Modern Day Disciple series takes a fresh and unique approach to inductive Bible Study. Each lesson focuses exclusively on the Biblical text and actively engages each student in the Word of God itself. After reading the text the students read a short "thought to consider" that merges modern examples with the Biblical text in a challenging and thought provoking way. There are then a series of questions that should be considered that again revolve around the Biblical text. Each lesson additionally offers key words, cross references, and a straightforward prayer guide for the day. Most of the daily exercises can be completed in twenty minutes or less. These lessons can be completed by those who are new to the faith or firmly grounded in their spiritual walk. Virtually any Bible translation can be used with these lessons, allowing students to read the Word of God from their preferred text. The goal of the authors is not to teach the text, but rather to guide the modern day disciple through the text, and allow the Spirit of God to enlighten, encourage, and enrich each believer's life.
