L'alliage ternaire Ni-W-P et ses films composites MoS2 ont été obtenus avec succès sur de l'acier à faible teneur en carbone par la technique de dépôt chimique. La concentration de tungstate de sodium dans le bain a été modifiée pour obtenir des dépôts de Ni-W-P contenant différentes teneurs en W et P.
