Parthenium (Parthenium hysterophorus L.), is an aggressive weed it is native to the subtropics of North and South America but now has invaded other continents like Asia, Australia and Africa during the last few decades and is spreading alarmingly. it is the need of time to evaluate this rag weed and to take some solid steps to control it in environmentally and ecologically save ways. this work will be a good contribution towards it distribution evaluation and biological management.

The genus Xanthomonas is significant due to its phytopathogenic diversity and contrasting phenotypic uniformity. Appropriate information on classification and nomenclature of genus Xanthomonas is essential to ensure effective disease management. In this research work isolates were distinguished through enzyme production potential and by using PCR techniques i.e. RAPD and ISSR. Genetic profile of pathogenic and non pathogenic isolates was checked in order to have a complete picture attributed generally to geographical distribution and or pathogenecity of various Xanthomonas species/ pathovars....
