The Three Hares was inspired by the great Ukrainian poets, past and present, who protest against corruption, oppression, and injustice. The rest of the poems are primarily drawn from a decade of working in post-conflict countries such as Afghanistan, Kosovo and Liberia and the sense of displacement that accompanies the expat life.
