Thousands of years ago, Titus Livius said "Men are slower to recognize blessings, than misfortunes." This is still true today, individually and as a society. Individually, we focus on what we don't have--cars, houses, jobs, spouses. As a society, we tend to focus on the ills of the world-crime, violence, celebrity gossip, uncertain economy - just to name a few. Now, more than ever, is the time to reverse that kind of thinking.
