This book elaborates Ayurvedic gold bhasma, known as a rejuvenation drug. The chemistry of this traditional preparation has been explored by nanotechnology characterization tools. Method of gold bhasma preparation and involvement of mercury is key factor here. However, the final formulation is devoid of mercury. Preliminary bioavailability study of the investigated gold bhasma is described here. This may be regarded as a first step in exploring pharmacokinetics of gold bhasma.
