The present thesis indentures with the analysis on Preparation, Characterization, Thermophysical properties of Indium Oxide (In2O3) nanoparticles and In2O3 nanofluids, Effect of capping agents on size, morphology and optical properties, and the application of the obtained In2O3 nanoparticles as LPG Gas sensor. The major aim in this research work was centered on the synthesis of In2O3 nanoparticles from Acacia gum (Acacia nilotica), Neem Gum, Katira gum (Astragalus gummifer), Gum Kondagogu (Cochlospermum gossypium) and Toddy, and the synthesis of nanofluids using Acacia gum synthesized In2O3 nanoparticles with Albumen and Gelatin proteins. These synthesized nanoparticles can be utilized in LPG Gas Sensing, and nanofluids for Heat transfer applications.
