This superbly illustrated children's book recounts in poetic form the effort of Louie the Loon to reach the moon. The very experienced illustrator has created an image of a comic loon who won't give up and the author's simple poetry can lead both the reader and a young audience smoothly along on this fantastic journey, with the end being that the 'man in the moon' must now be renamed the 'loon on the moon' .
