Author David Wermuth David Wermuth was born in Everett, Washington in 1962. After enduring many years of physical and emotional abuse in his childhood, David attempted to live a "normal" life. However, this was not meant to be. As a direct result of his father's actions, David went Suddenly Blind on April 12, 1995. Although David lost his sight at the age of thirty-two, he did not give up on his dreams.
