BIO Arlene Walrond was born in Ste. Madeleine village, south Trinidad. She's been writing since childhood. She writes in all genres but prefers the short story form. Her writing took a serious turn in 2004 when her first article to be published "Facing Challenges" was accepted by the Caribbean Compass (several others followed). A short story "Tears For My Mother" was chosen in 2010 for the Potbake anthology "Across The Caribbean." A poem "My Cat" was chosen for the 2010 Animal Antics anthology in Britain. A flash fiction story "Looks" was long-listed in 2011 for The Brighton Cow winter contest...
