Pieter is originally from the Netherlands, where he studied physiotherapy, Traditional Chinese Medicine and law. He worked as a physiotherapist and acupuncturist in the Netherlands and Germany, before he immigrated with his family to British Columbia, Canada in 1999. He worked in Canada in hospitals and set up several physiotherapy clinics. He owned an acupuncture clinic in Kelowna, BC, for 6 years.
