Born in Rusk County, Texas, raised in Houston, but spending nearly every Summer back in East Texas as a kid, Don Lummus grew up in the local honky-tonks and "Ice-Houses" on nearly every corner of every street and highway in North Houston. This was a way of life for Don and his brothers and sisters, going with his Mom an Dad almost every time they went "Weekend Honky-Tonkin'" as most all of their friends and family did as a way to "deal with everyday stress."
