KATHLEEN D. LINDSEY won the New Jersey General Assembly Award in 2001 for "A Stitch in Time," a presentation she wrote, narrates, and performs in, and which highlights the history of African Americans during the pre- and post-Civil War era through skits, dancing, and singing. She is also an accomplished quilter and has won several awards for her quilts.
