LENARD J. COHEN is Professor of Political Science at Simon Fraser University, Burnaby, British Columbia. He is the author of, among other titles, Serpent in the Bosom: The Rise and Fall of Slobodan Milosevic (2000) and roken Bonds: Yugoslavian Disintegration and Balkan Politics (1993).
