This book is about the place of environment in the Bible. It is essential for churches, schools, theological colleges and environmental activists. Uganda is presented as a case study. The book is also part of environmental ethics. The role of the church in the promotion of environmental protection is also emphasised because it has been silent for a long time. It gives various illustrations in both Testaments of the Bible. Thus, a Christian has to apply the Biblical principles and also God-given reason. The book incorporates some of the world Conventions about environment and other relevant protocols. It exposes how human beings destroy environment and the eventual effects on human beings, animals, plants, land and water bodies. Various recommendations are given on how to maintain environment and especially how the church can partner with the state to make the world a better place to live in, thus leading to sustainable development.

Rugyendo, MedardI am an ordained priest in the Anglican Church of Uganda and a Dean of the Faculty of Education, Uganda Christian University. I hold a BA, MA, PGDE and a PHD of Makerere University and PGDCM of Uganda Christian University. I teach Church History and Ethics. I am married to Margaret and we live in Uganda.
