Four children are all dressed up and ready for Halloween. There's Kirsty, the witch. Craig the vampire. Then there's Nula, the ghost, and Toby, who's co-ordinating things whilst dressed as a zombie. Interview with the Author Q - So, what makes the Halloweeners series special? A - It's a mix of things, really. When I set out to write these books, I wanted to create something that mirrored exactly the kind of books I like to read. My top picks are usually children's spine chilling scary novels, any of the thousands of thrillers and mysteries best sellers, and, of course, books featuring characters you can identify with. Basically, anything containing characters with a sharp attitude and written in a fast-paced style gets my vote. The Halloweeners (and subsequent books in the series that will be released around the holiday time) are a great mix of these genres. You'll find the series focuses on the mystery and thriller / children's Halloween genre overall, with a couple of light to medium horror elements thrown in for good measure, themes of teenage bullying, teenage romance and a serial killer novel or two to keep things interesting 2017 will see book two in the series released, so keep watch on my Amazon author page for updates Overall, the Halloweeners series is designed to keep you turning the pages - and I've made sure there's never a dull moment.
