Ben S. Bernanke served as chairman of the US Federal Reserve from 2006 to 2014. He has also served as chairman of the Presidents Council of Economic Advisors and as a member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve. Before his time in public service he was a professor of economics at Princeton University. His many books include Essays on the Great Depression and Inflation Targeting (both Princeton).
