What had happened? What had brought him here? And even more weird, what had changed him from a sixty-five-year-old man into a thirteen-year-old boy? Someone was watching him - he could feel it but saw no one. This is crazy, he thought. Where am I? He gazed at the gigantic, sprawling tree towering above him, his eyes growing wide when they settled on an enormous golden plaque embedded in the trunk. The plaque was divided into four equal sections, each named after one of the seasons of the year. At its centre stood a keyhole surrounded by a large, circular loop. Tom is sent on a quest through a parallel world, full of magic, mystery and fantastic creatures. Tom must retrieve the Charquery Key before all is lost
