This work aims at studying the relationship between the exposure to the tracers of the automobile proximity pollution and the incidence of the respiratory and cardiovascular pathologies in the city of Meknes. The exploitation of the spatialized sanitary indicators of these diseases, as well as the localization of the fixed and mobile sources of the air pollution and the contents of the measured pollutants (NO2 and COV) under ArcGIS, allowed us to detect that the inhabitants of the marginalized districts, moderately exposed, are the most affected by the cardio-respiratory pathologies. While residents in high traffic areas are likely to be more affected than those in industrial areas. The type of habitat also contributes significantly to the development and exacerbation of the pathologies studied, especially in the neighbourhoods of the old medina. The approach developed could be used as a decision-making tool for the competent authorities in the field and adapted to evaluate the health and environmental impacts related to exposure to other types of pollutants.
