The study examines the variation in price of food crops among urban daily market of Makurdi town with the view of identifying the factors responsible for the price variation. Data was collected from both food crop sellers and food crop consumers in the 6 daily markets of the town. The data collected was analysed using ANOVA, Chi-Square and Product Moment techniques. The study reveals that there is a significant difference between prices of food crops among daily markets of the town. The observed variation in price pattern is as a result of the following factors: income distribution, number of feeder markets as supply point and distance of rural markets to the daily markets.
