The Songs of Discovery is a creative non-fiction story of my ten years in the Democratic Republic of Congo. It is intended as the first in a series of books. While all the events are true, they are a bit like scrambled eggs, even when you know the scrambled eggs are all eggs you still cannot see where one egg starts and the other ends. These stories, like scrambled eggs, are true but mixed to protect the privacy of those whose stories are included. So much happened in those ten years that was both interesting, educative and spiritual but in order to share these events their placement is organized to be entertaining as well as educational. It is the hope of the author that you will enjoy this small journey into a land rather unknown here in the United States and feel like you went there with her.
