One of the artist's stepsons links his hate-filled motives to those of an art dealer, a pawn of the dead professor's scheming boss. Two of the three villains die and the stepson goes to jail for the arson of two homes, one of which was Sally and John's dream home. Unfortunately, the crazed castle host's pent-up frustrations target Sally. He shoots and kills John instead. Blackmail, prostitution, infidelities, suicide and murder are all laid bare.
