Allergic contact dermatitis (ACD) can progress to chronicity and is thought to have a significant economic impact. The objectives were to study the determinants of quality of life, productivity, absenteeism and presenteeism in subjects with ACD. Quality of life was assessed using the DLQ scale. The assessment of the impact of ACE on professional activity was performed using the WPAI scale.The mean age of our population was 41.2 years. The alteration of the quality of life was associated with the construction sector, the localization in the hands. Absenteeism was associated with the construction sector and keratotic appearance. Decreased productivity was associated with the construction sector, the erythemato-vesicular aspect, the number of attacks and the chromium.DCA has a significant effect on quality of life, absenteeism and decreased productivity. The prevention of allergic occupational dermatoses is an essential step in the action of the allergist, as well as the dermatologist or the occupational physician.
