The study was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of an information booklet on knowledge among staff nurses regarding the prevention and management of perineal tear during normal delivery. An evaluative approach with one group Pre test Post test design was used for the study. 40 samples were selected using simple random sampling method. The present study was conducted in Justice K.S. Hegde Charitable hospital Mangalore. The collected data were analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics.
