The main objective is aimed at palliative care for patients with chronic heart failure. Methods and techniques were used in correspondence with the dynamics of the research. Palliative care for patients with end-stage heart failure is a need within the health system, which is theoretically and empirically justified. Nursing personnel, in order to put into practice in Primary Health Care, must unlearn practices that are already outdated due to the needs of this type of care, which demands individual, contextualized treatment and the integration of the knowledge that constitutes its foundations to work in interdisciplinary teams, with high protagonism with the purpose of applying knowledge and skills and applying palliative care depending on the characteristics of each case. The commitment to sustainable application requires raising awareness and training all nursing personnel and making constant improvement, together with the values inherent to this activity, an ethical imperative. It is based on the favorable opinion of professionals with recognized experience in the practice of health professionals. The experience developed in the research may become a methodological and theoretical reference for other researchers interested in this subject.
