The poems also recount a few Guiffre and Tartaglia stories that have been passed down from generation to generation. They were inspired by our large Italian family which includes hundreds of cousins, aunts, uncles and some wonderful grandparents. Whether in spirit or through actual examples, these tales are illustrated in the pages of this book. Above all else, the poems describe our attempt at parenting on the fly and Kate's attempt to live through it. It is our family album with a little imagination and musical rhythm mixed in.
