Internationalisierung ist aus dem Sprachgebrauch auch des Bildungsbereiches nicht mehr wegzudenken. Seit mehr als einem Jahrzehnt hat sich Jurgen Schriewer unter dem Stichwort der Internationalisierung der Padagogik einem Forschungsprogramm verpflichtet, das dem zunehmenden Einfluss supranationaler Zusammenhange und Entwicklungen auf die semantische Konstruktion von Kultur und Bildung Rechnung tragen soll. Die Beitrage des Bandes nehmen diese Inspiration auf und bieten weitere Analysen zu dieser Problemstellung. Aus theoretischer, historischer und gegenwartsbezogener Perspektive werden die vergangenen und gegenwartigen Pfade und Logiken von Internationalisierung und Internationalitat im Bildungsbereich bei fortdauernder Bedeutung des Nationalen thematisiert.
Internationalisation has become a widely used concept also in educational discourse. For over a decade, Jurgen Schriewer has been involved in research addressing the internationalisation of educational knowledge, thus taking into account the increasing influence of supra-national interrelationships and developments on the semantic construction of culture and education. The contributors to this volume have been inspired by this research project and provide further analyses within this thematic complex. From theoretical, historical and present-day perspectives, the paths and logics of internationalisation and internationality within past and present educational settings are illuminated, at the same time acknowledging the enduring significance of national contexts."
