This book began as a discussion on public space with Golden Gate Park serving as a potential site of fieldwork. The park is in a perpetual state of mutation - it is complicated by each of us. Battling historical and political narratives, the construction of publics and counter-publics, leisure space and ecology became part of the workshop's dialogue through collective investigation. "I'm A Park And You're A Deer" is a continuation of this dialogue through diverse formats including: interviews, short fiction, a musical score, essays, photography, and drawings. It is the third book edited by the California College of the Arts Social Practice Workshop.
