Despite numerous publications on the history of electrical engineering, this topic still has a number of little studied areas. The phenomenon of allegorically depicting Electricity in the art and in technical illustrations is one of such areas. Hundreds of such images created by outstanding painters, graphics, and sculptors are known, which are also fixed on the posters of international exhibitions, on the cover sheets of electrotechnical journals and books, securities, logos, advertisement hoardings, etc. In its scale, this phenomenon does not have analogs in any other field of science and technology. Many images have become an integral part of remarkable events and bear information in the selves. Investigation sin this field make it possible to get better in sight in the history of electrical engineering, to correlate it with moral and ethical principles, and to feel the spirit of this science. An attempt is made for the first time in the article to put this phenomenon in a systematic order and to describe it in a chronological sequence.
