This work endeavors to compare various existing parameters between two manufacturing companies, namely, NALCO and Vedanta, from public and private sector respectively. The responses were collected from women employees at National Aluminum Corporation (NALCO) and Vedanta to analyze the three dimensions namely, diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) of gender diversity. The results of this work are expected to have several business applications as well as usefulness for the policymaking. There is a high need of transparency of measurement and reporting of the continual albeit incremental efforts. The most important answers are found in the systemic and behavioral aspects in any organization as the first baby steps towards achieving meaningful gender equality. Gender inclusive work climate ensures a positive social environment which fosters furtherance of gender equality. However, no quick fixes are imaginable, and organizations must make a conscious effort to achieve gender balance and equality which, coupled with inclusion and diversity will add financial and operational efficiency of the organizations.
