To ensure the stable operation of power system, generation needs to meet the load demand and the system frequency to be kept as close as possible to reach the desired value at every instance. Such a Power system includes several control schemes in order to maintain the system stability. In particular, interconnected operation enables utilities to share spinning reserve capacity during emergency and to take advantage of load diversity for the economical operation. The interconnection of neighboring system enhances the possibilities of disturbance. Regarding the dynamics aspects of power system, AGC has became focused on the interest to maintain to variables namely frequency and tie line power. Variation of these ones are combined together, action that leads to a single variable called area control error(ACE). In addition, area control error is used to improve the stability of system by passing through the controller of the system. In this current scenario, communication delays in ACE plays a significant role deciding the stability of the system.
