The manufacturing industry is one of the most hazardous trades as far as work safety is concerned. Accidents and disease cases are reported in the workplace annually, causing considerable human and financial damage. Safety training is globally considered the best strategy to mitigate these damages. Therefore, the purpose of the study is to investigate the employee attitude toward safety training and development. For this purpose, a descriptive study has been carried out and data was collected through a questionnaire. However, the factors: management commitment, safety committee, Personal Protective Equipment, working environment, first aid and fire prevention were the key factors that influenced job satisfaction as indicated by the respondents. In addition, most of the participants in the mandatory safety training programs understood the content taught in the programs and considered the programs practical and useful. The results showed that employees paid more attention after completing the programs. This indicated a positive personal attitude toward the safety training programs.
