As many universities seek increased enrolment from the international student population, the art of developing and implementing effective teaching methods for English for Academic Purposes EAP) learners continues to present a challenge. Although there is a growing body of literature on this topic from the perspective of language teachers, this book attempts to examine the role of Communicative Language Teaching(CLT)in the classroom from the perspective of language learners, the end users of any language program. This book aims to examine the views of learners toward perceived communicative teaching approaches, their self-reported language assessments in reading, writing, speaking and listening, and their feedback preferences. The analysis draws on CLT teaching approaches that are valuable in developing EAP focused language acquisition and should be beneficial to professionals in Education and Modern Languages who are committed to facilitating communicative competence in English within an academic environment.
