By turns, the discussion focuses on the concept of the body, the group and the institution, and, from a psychological viewpoint, reflects critically upon the fascination of idealizes and the struggle for power, the structure and dynamics if the social unconscious, the decline of the University, and the ecological significance of the psychoanalytic situation. Emeritus Professor of Clinical Psychology at the University of Paris X-Nanterre, is the author of several books published in English translation. These include Freud's Self Analysis, The Group and the unconscious, and The Skin Ego. He has also edited and contributed to Psychic Envelopes, a collection of papers which further develops the Skin Ego concept.
